To celebrate the 200th anniversary of this the first published Austen novel, the Festival are proud to present Chapterhouse Theatre Company’s production. This brand new adaptation of Jane Austen’s lively tale follows Elinor and Marianne Dashwood as they fall in love, make mistakes and experience heartbreak in their quest to find a balance between sense and sensibility.

Two hilarious monologues, actress Sarah Siddons and character Elizabeth Bennet plus the unique Aardvark production of Pride & Prejudice (two actors, lots of hats!) Be warned do not tighten your corset strings too much!

(duration 70 minutes no interval)In a bold revisiting – using nothing but the words of Austen herself, Emma Woodhouse, Lizzy Bennet, Mrs Norris, Marianne Dashwood, Miss Bates and many more, are brilliantly illuminated. See how many you recognise! A superb production, this one woman show should not to be missed; particularly as it is being held in the original Theatre Royal in Bath where Sarah Siddons the great tragic actress performed and Jane Austen was entertained.
