Sense & Sensibility 95 Marianne & Willoughby- 'Missing'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKlMDX9e3Ks
Very dramatic take on the Marianne/ Willoughby romance covering the worst of fathers on this list. Excellent editing on this video must have taken a lot of dedication to put together this emotional side of Sense and Sensibility characters.
7. johakkert
Sense and Sensibility, 'Sympathy for the devil'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7n9GOg5O_A
Now this one was interesting real truth of Willoughby's nature in a video I thought was very original

Hugh Laurie in Sense and Sensibility
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8T53_req48
Mr. Palmer again covered this month for his portion of this video as I couldn't find any others that were long enough but secretly is just plain adorable Hugh Laurie as the definitive Mr. Palmer as the sensible husband and father

My Father's Favorite from Sense and Sensibility
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDNibWwkxyg
This one is one of the more touching scenes of a father's favourite played by Marianne Dashwood for her late father and her sister Elinor
10. 1nkler
A Truth Universally Acknowledged ~ A Whimsical Journey into Austen's Pride and Prejudice, complete with embarrassing commentary by Lindsay, as well as a stoic performance by her father.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN7jgE8QSvM
Need I say more I thought it was adorable and fitting for this father's day tribute
~ To add this compilation took me hours to get together as compilations for Austen father's were rare in the few but actual Austen actors playing fatherly roles in adaptations were many of them. But I was very happy and elated these were found as all of you know Jane Austen adored her mother and her father especially as noted in her novels.
There are conflicting views on the forum about this but I think the adaptations although not entirely verbatim were as accurate as they could be shown.
The father`s not included were Mr. Bertram ( not for lack of trying) Mr. Woodhouse ( one other of my faves ) Mr. Watson eerily like Mr. Woodhouse well for lack of an adaptation ( believe you me, I have been trying film companies ) Mr. Vernon and Mr. Dashwood Senior well one was covered in S&S. Mr. Price which was too bad as he were a very unusual father. Sir Walter Elliot probably other than Bertram the most hated one. Mr. Weston was interesting and oddly formed I think after Jane`s brother as Frank Churchill formerly a Weston. I got a bit of Middleton problem is in one he was not even featured as a father figure though he was but older ones and recent one shows this.
Mr. Gardiner and Mr. Lucas if I am not mistaken one was shown and the other not but again no examples as they were small parts.
In conclusion that covers I think all the Austen fathers if I have missed any please post a note or if I am mistaken I don`t mind hearing it.
Otherwise enjoy this group they were all lovely and well done and placed only in order of where I found them only members can decide who was the best.
Also there will be a Father`s Day coverage of crossword I hope you will peruse and post your thoughts on them so far since there are many.
