In June 1799 Jane Austen was staying in Bath with her brother Edward and shopping for dress material. Funnily enough we are doing the same to prepare our costumes for the Jane Austen Festival - gosh doesn't sewing make your fingers sore!

Way back in 2007 we featured an article suggesting that Lily Allen, Stephen Fry and Russel Brand were to star in a spoof of ‘Pride and Prejudice’. That story went away but has returned minus Russell Brand – maybe it was something to do with his infamous ansaphone gaff.
