Things are really hectic here at the moment. July and August are usually our busiest months and this year is no exception.
The 3 new ITV films which were broadcast in Spring in the UK and are soon to be shown in the US have had a hugely positive effect on visitor numbers. We don’t like it when it is quiet, but when it gets this busy! Phew.
It’s great that so many more people are becoming fans of our favourite author.

Rejecting Jane - our big news story
David Lassman Jane Austen Festival Director As we told you in the last newsletter, Festival Director David Lassman sent the first chapters of Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion and Northanger Abbey to a number of publishers and publishers’ agents looking  for a book deal. The press picked this up and he eventually appeared on ABC news. Follow the link to have a look.
