Hello again, we are very busy decorating the Jane Austen Centre with 'winter greens' (holly and ivy) for our Christmas exhibition which opens on Saturday 22nd November.

If you didn't make the Jane Austen Festival this year the BBC 1 programme Countryfile produced a short film which was shown on BBC1 Sunday 16th November. You can watch or download it here.

*The Festival piece is at the end of the programme.

We just had to respond to this one
Darcy and Elizabeth
Katyia sent us this message. ‘I love receiving your monthly emails and I followed the link on your most recent email … to be honest I didn’t think the video was that good, but I do however have a link I’d love it to be in the next newsletter. My best friend saw it and actually changed her wedding song to this. It’s beautiful. I feel it captures the book and feelings of the Mr. Darcy and Miss Bennet that I hope Jane Austen meant for us all to feel.’
We had to include it this month as we agree with her.
