Being
‘trinket nuts’ here at the Centre we were very
excited to hear about the special auction taking place next week in
Gloucester. The Shambles, a family run museum, is going under the
hammer and thousands of items are up for sale – anything from
a Victorian hammer to a complete tin church! Wow. See you next month.

sensation Susan Boyle surprised everyone on ‘Britain’s got
talent’ when her singing talent overcame the audience’s
apparent prejudice because of her appearance.
Has Jane Austen ever commented about this form of prejudice?
