Happy New Year! In ‘Emma’ Jane wrote; "Never marry! -- This is a new resolution." Have you made any New Year’s resolutions? I plan to read more, including a classic per month. I suppose I really ought to to start with revisiting an Austen, but which one? Read the newsletter for now, I promise there is no mention of zombies this month!

A New Jane Austen Society
	A gentleman in Oxford has been so inspired by Jane Austen that he has set up a new society in her honour. If you live in or near Oxford you can get involved, but why not read this story and set up a society of your own? If you’ve ever visited the Centre, you may recognize the backdrop in the photograph!

Indeed! We haven’t had a You Tube piece for quite a while so enjoy this condensed version of 1995’s Pride & Prejudice, played out to the strains of KT Tunstall’s ‘Hold On’. Sorry, did someone say “any excuse for a picture of Colin Firth”?
